You don’t need to sign up or login to https://launchpad.net/ to download the Ubuntu on Genio images or install Genio hardware support packages on your Genio EVK.

If you plan to design and develop hardware based on MediaTek Genio SoC, a MediaTek Online account and license agreements with MediaTek allow you to:

  • Access hardware development resources

  • Build and develop bootloader and board firmware for your board or System-on-Module(SoM) using MediaTek Genio platform

  • Report Genio SoC bootloader, firmware, or Genio package issues to MediaTek
